Greetings,

After installing Windows NT Server 4.0 I install SP5.
At this point I wish to perform Security customizations like eliminating from the entire OS the EVERYONE Group for specific purposes.  I also wish to add a user or group to a specific directory with its related subdirectories.
How do I perform such a task respecting the Existing Security system?

I was thinking to use CACLS.EXE as the proper tool but I do not know how to apply such a change on the entire HD without performing a CACLS.EXE command for each individual directory.

Any help?
Thank you,
Spiro

cacls /t c:\ /e /r everyone

will revoke rights (/r everyone) of everyone to c:\ and all subdirectories (/t).

type just cacls at the cmd shell for all options.

cheers.
