Setting up a Linux server for a Windows intranet  ... where to find information?

Where/what are some good sources of information (websites, howtos, etc.) for setting up an office intranet? What I want
is something that will lead me step-by-step through the following process:
We have 5 computers running Windows (don't ask why, I wish it weren't so). We want to set it up so that a single Linux box (I have an old 486 on the shelf that I was going to try) can be a server which can:
      1. allow the Windows computers to share files
      2. allow the Windows computers to print to 1 printer
      3. serve as a webserver/email server
      4. allow the Windows computers to access the                       internet

The information should include both the hardware and software side. The Linux HOWTOs obviously have bits and pieces of this around (Ethernet HOWTO, Net-3 HOWTO). I don't
even know what type of hub I need to set up. I will be able to have a direct T1 connection.

I'm sorry my information is sketchy, but it's because I'm not quite sure how to approach the problem.

So, please offer pointers to comprehensive sources of information.

Thanks in advance
