Which OS (SunOS, Solaris)? which graphics (openview, X)?
which device (screen, printer, plotter)? etc. etc.

you can use qt. it can be found at and has excellent documentation. alternatively, you can program directly with the X windows API. you SUN machine should have come with the necessary manuals. you can also use tcl/tk which is more of a scripting language if you are not familiar with c++. if you know postscript, you can create postscript files and view them with ghostview which should be available from the internet for you platform
