Windows CE and DCOM

I know Windows CE supports COM but does it support DCOM? I want to be able to control some instrumentation using a hand held pc running Windows CE.

If you can wait a while ver 3 is supposed to support DCOM.  But this probably doesn't help you now.

Why don't you try ADO?

Or use WinSock. DCOM is not in 2.x, although it will be in 3.0
