Checkboxes using VB 6.0 and ASP

I'm working on a 3tier app using VB6.0, ASP and Oracle.
I'm trying to build a checkbox and in VB this is the syntax I'm using.  I've declared it is an integer in class builder utility.

For inserting in the field in the database which is a number(1)- here's my code:

If mvarVendedFlag = "" Then
        SQL = SQL & "1, "
        SQL = SQL & "" & mvarVendedFlag & ", "
    End If

For an update of the field:
 If mvarVendedFlag = "" Then
        SQL = SQL & "VENDED_FLAG=1, "
        SQL = SQL & "VENDED_FLAG=" & mvarVendedFlag & ", "
    End If

However, my addition and update fails.  Also, how can I make it appear on my asp page.

Thanks so much.

you should probably use HTML...

  <input type=checkbox checked=true>

or you can simply remove the checked=true part if you don't want it to be check by default...

Good Luck!!

if you wanna name the checkbox so it has name simply do this... (you might wanna name the form too)

<form name=form1>
  <input type=checkbox name=checkbox1 checked=true>

that's all....
