I want to implement an e-mail feature where the user fills in there e-mail address and then press submit and the information currently on the page is sent to the address they specified.  All information is not form based, there will be images too. So Front Page is not an option.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a URL that we can take a look at to see what it is that you are wanting to do?  If so, please provide it.  I'm not too sure what it is that you are trying to send.  In one respect you want to send form results and in another you want to send a web page.

Use JMail from Dimac.  It is free and can do what you want.

Just send the HTML as the body text.  In addition, make sure you reference the images in that text with the proper lnks...

<IMG SRC="/mypic.jpg"> will not work, where <IMG SRC="http://www.mysite.com/mypic.jpg"> will.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

I want to create a button that exactly what the link on the (IE browser) File -> Send -> Page By E-mail....this includes the entire page currently viewed and is emailed to the address the user specified.  I want that exact functionality from the menu...except with a button.
Any ideas?

Yes.

Get aspTear.  "Tear" the current page into a variable.  then send the mail using JMail or another ASP mail component.  For the body, just use the "torn" variable...

SOURCE
-----------
<%
Set objTear = CreateObject("SOFTWING.ASPtear")

On Error Resume Next

' URL, action, payload, username, password
ThePage = objTear.Retrieve
("http://www.yoursite.com/" & Request.ServerVariables("PATH_INFO"), Request_GET, "", "", "")

Set objTear = nothing

'Create Mail component...
' Add your mail creation stuff here....
Mail.Body = TheBody

' Kill mail component
%>

I also need the flexibility to have the user click on the picture and be taken to the web site...
So if the user recieves this e-mail...they will get text plus the picture and be able to click on the picture and be taken the website.

Hi
try the following code in an ASP file. It is a highly flexible code where u can customise almost all the parts. In the body of the mail u can put your own "variables"(If you are using a "form"). Also u can attach images as well.

In the code "book.gif" is just an arbitrary name. U can put any name u want. "image1.gif" is the actual image to be attached. OK?

Have a look at my homepage at http://www.soft.co.za/home/raj and try the links "Feedback" or "Guestbook"(I am not exactly sure where I used this code).

If u have any doubts please ask me

Happy pgming

Raj
