Boot Password

How do I disable a boot password - I have gone into the system setup - advanced options - user security.  It indicates that there is a user password on boot but does not allow me to disable it. The choices given are boot/server/change the password.  It prompts for a password immediately after the memory count.  I do know the password but would like to get rid of it.  The pc is an old AST Premmia 4/33e.

There should be a jumper setting on your motherboard that will erase the CMOS. It should be labeled on the board. If not, get a copy of the motherboard documentation.
