NTBACKUP.EXE Command Line

Does anyone know what the command line switch (NTBACKUP.EXE) is to eject the tape after backup?

Glad I was able to help.

I found this in the Backup Help file - just type ntbackup /? at a prompt:

Syntax:

ntbackup operation path [/a][/v][/r][/d "text"][/b
][/hc:{on | off}] [/t {option}][/l "filename"][/e][/tape
:{n}]

Parameters:

operation

Specifies the operation, BACKUP or EJECT.

There does not appear to be a switch in NTBackup to eject the tape after backup.  Just create a batch file - the first line will be your backup line - something like "ntbackup backup path /a /v /r /b..." and the second line with just "ntbackup eject"  You can use the /tape option in that second line to specify what drive you want to eject a tape.

Is that what you had in mind?

Good luck,

Jason

Thanks for input.  That is exactly what I had in mind.  Just out of curiosity, how did you find the "eject" parameter.  I cannot find it anywhere in my documentation.
