Saving sent messages without attachments

I would like to save any message I send, but I don't need to save the attachments, is there an easy way to do this?

there is an easy way.

1. write your message.

2. before attach any thing drag it in an opened folder on the desk top .. the email program will make a copy of the message there.

3. attach what you want, and send the message.

4. now, you have a copy, you can drag it into any folder on your system or in your email program .. and without attachments.

This will work, but I was lokking for a way to automate the process.  Any ideas?

I didn't mean to 'reject' you - I just didn't want the question closed yet - I realize I didn't include the word automated, my mistake.  Sorry!!!!!
