Hi, when I try to install a program that I made with D3 + BDE 5.0 installshiled cannot finish the installation and say "cannot merge IDAPI32.CNF" then if I try to start my program it says BDE cannot load the driver language. Any clue of what is going on???

Yes huge problems with the merging of bde versions because version 5 isa hunk of junk....we use Wise to install and it absolutely destroyed our whole setup....and we looked into using installshield but they were having the same problems with the bde5.....that was about 6 months ago though so they might have it worked out by now....

my suggestion....try installshields websitte and newsgroups.....they surely have a fix for it by now....

jamiguel, forget about what's been said about the problem being related to BDE being installed on top of IDAPI (16-bit version of BDE). That's nothing to do with it.

It also has nothing to do with Corel's drivers or the current video settings, as has been suggested in the Borland newsgroups (yes, I saw your posting there!). It is, as I said, a documented bug, caused only by the changes in the installation process of BDE 5 that haven't been incorporated into InstallShield Express yet.

You can use either C:\Windows\System\REGSVR32.EXE or Delphi\Bin\tregsvr.exe for starting the DLL.
