What is DHCP Manager's scope option "047 NetBIOS Scope ID / NetBIOS over TCP/IP Scope ID" for and/or what does it do?  Is it related to the Scope ID option (invisible logical networks) on the WINS tab under TCP/IP Properties?  Under what circumstances would 047 be used?

I believe this option allows DHCP to pass a range of IP addresses based on NetBIOS computer names, which WinSock can't. NBT does the job of converting the NetBIOS names that are retrieved from WINS or LMHOSTS. As you can tell it's useful in a NetBIOS network. HTH
