Please tell me what Corba is all about,not its history or full form of the acronym.Being a programmer of C++ and vc++(mfc) do you think it would help me.Is corba stronger than COM/DCOM and what are the differences between the two other than having different manufacturesrs.Also tell me the job market for the two.

I think you have to buy a book to get an full answer to that question ...
CORBA(common object request broker architecture) is a distributed object model, simpler: CORBA is the architecture of 'how to transfer objects over networks'.

CORBA itself has no manufacturesrs. CORBA is the pardigm, it has serveral manufacturesrs( there are free CORBA implementations available: http://www.wiwi.hu-berlin.de/~rhoppe/corba/freeORB.html )
The CORBA standard is specified by the Object Management Group (http://www.omg.org/ look there for detailed specifications)
