Why is another page opened in a new window?

I am trying to build a frame based home page. I have a main frames page (frame.htm), in which three frames are etched horizontally. To do so, I have tried to use the Top-Down Hierarchy frame template of FT2000. After opening the frames page, I set three different initial content pages for each frame. So far so good.

The problem was occurred when I attempted to load another content page named (aboume.htm) into the second frame (name=middle). The page was linked to one of the hover buttons in the first frame (name=top). Whenever I click the hover button in the first frame, the aboutme.htm was opened in a new browser rather than in the second frame.

I have checked the target frames of the frames, but I don't know what's still wrong. Please help me~!

Thanks.

Even when I spcified an exact target frame name, if I use hover buttons, it does not work. a new document was opened up in a new browser. Although I specified a link in the "Hover Button Properties", it did not look like that the FP2000 recognize where to display the new document.
It was wrong of you when accept that answer. When you don't satisfy with the answer, just specify it and then you'll get a new answer.

After specify the target frame, please check in your HTML source in applet tag, does it have this line:

  <param name="target" value="middle">

If it haven't got add it your self.
