hi all,
   I'm trying to use MS Internet Control 6.0 that come with VB 6 to download HTML doc from WWW. Can anybody tell me how can I save the HTML doc as a file (not a string) after downloading so that I can manipulate it using "Open File" command? thanks

Sorry if I'm missing the point here, but if you can get it into a string, then just write that string to a file

dim ff%
ff=freefile
open "fred.txt" for output as ff
 print #ff, WWWstring
close ff

The above answer will work, if youre looking for formatting however, you will need a rudimentary parser. Something that will insert a newline after a '>', add a tab to the next line for each '<' and remove a tab for each '/>'... It depends on what kind of formatting you need to do.
