ANSI C compiler on 64 bit machines

I could not find C compilers on 64 bit Sun 5.6 version. Can you find one

By default Solaris comes with NO compiler at all.

SUN's Visual Workshop has a 64-bin C/C++ compiler. It's also pretty expensive.
As an option, you may try to build egcs (or gcc-2.8.1) for sparc64-sun-solaris2.7

There are gcc binaries at http://www.sunfreeware.com/programlistsparc7.html#gcc but I haven't checked if they have 64-bit mode enabled.

This question was awarded, but never cleared due to the JSP-500 errors of that time.  It was "stuck" against userID -1 versus the intended expert whom you awarded.  This corrects the problem and the expert will now receive these points; points verified.
