something wrong with icon

well this is a little puzzler.  All it is is my outlook5 icons changing and going to a funny looking cursor.  When i go to change icon it wont let me save it it comes up with a error
Unable to save changes to oe5.lnk.  Access is denied.  I tried using the rebuild icons with the tweakie for win98

One thing you can try is, delete the Icon and create a new one.
If it still happens, you might be able to edit the properties of it.
You may want to also check the properties of the Icon and make sure it isn't set to read only. If it is uncheck "read only" and check "archive".

Jonade, your back!

Try Zaphod's idea, and if it doesn't work, reject it to open the question to others.

In the meantime, use your Find, Files and Folders and look for the file ShellIconCache file and delete it. Then retart the system and see if the icons come back up correctly.

hehe i overlooked the readonly box in attributes.  How and why it changed to those icons i dunno  Thanks
