I have a linux machine with a properly installed and configured modem.  My question is, how do I get the machine to "answer the phone", so to speak, allowing at-home users to dial into the network?  I found plenty of documentation about dialing out,but can't seem to find any about dialing in.  Thanks in advance...

Hi,

mgetty package is exactly what you need.
The Debian installation contains very well defined
defaults. Afetr the installation you have to apply
minor customization to:
  /etc/ppp/pap-secrets
  /etc/mgetty/login.conf
And you have excellent RAS (Remote Access Server).
