Hi ! I want to get the datas send by a telephone system
to a serial printer by not connecting a printer but a PC.
The Datas should be converted into an ms-access or excel file.

well i've done that before... it's sort of connectivity like the one i programmed in my hotel software, the telephone system sends stats to printer, i capture them as a software.. so that's the thing you want, i'm sure.

There is a component i'm using, and it's freeware.

i'm puttin it on

so download comdrv32.zip from that dir.
its not the latest version i think, but that's available now. i may send the latest later.

sure, no prob?
but not as easy as downloading the component and, making efficient use of it, i think :)

so you'll see, when trying it, that the rs-232 entry is a text buffer input. you have to decide the most efficient way to convert it to a logical data. if i were you, i would make a DDE connection with excel, to send data to excel. i guess you'll have plenty of methods to do this.

i'm overloaded at the moment, so try the component first, rest should come later? let's put together our efforts to solve that prob. of yours

save them in excel....
