Is it possible to change the mouse cursor from a visual basic program by placing your special mouse.cur in the program ? Instead of the "white arrow" so common place with windows, I just wanted to have my own cursor while my program runs even when it is in the taskbar. Dumb question no doubt, but I would like some code to this effect if possible ? I really don't know where to do this or even attempt to do this. Pretty New to Visual Basic !
Thanks All

This can be done from windows registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Cursors
 - AppStarting
 - Arrow
 - Crosshair
 - Help
 - IBeam
 - No
 - NWPen
 - SizeNESW
 - SizeNS

you can't change value of key above (your *.cur path)
If you need code, just let me know, but I hope you can do it by yourself :)

stnic, but I don't think you can do it in run time from your program, to take effect you must to reboot

setiawan, I knew i could change this on a registry level, i was just wondering if it could be done at the program level and then released afterwards. You have answered my question very well. I wonder why this wasn't allowed for, it would have been nich huh ? Thank You for your answer !
