OE GPF after windows bad shut down

After a aession of Windows was shut down improperly, I know can not get any new email in Outlook Express. I can view the existing email and send, but when Ireceive the new mail, it almost gets sone and then I get this:

I am able to get the mail off hotmail or evenif I use another identity on OE, just not the main identity. Funny thing is I ran Norton Windoctor imediately afterwards and there was oly 1 problem unrelated to email. I know it's probably a simple fix.

The information in this article applies to:
 - Microsoft Outlook Express version 5 for Windows 98

SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you start Outlook Express or are receiving e-mail, you may receive one of
the following error messages:
    - MSIMN caused an Invalid Page Fault in module unknown
 
    - MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module MSOE.DLL at memory address
 
    - MSIMN caused an Invalid Page Fault in module kernel32.dll
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This issue can occur if you are using one of the following rules that are
applied before the message is downloaded from the server:
 
Condition: Where the message body contains specific words
Action: Do not download it from the Server
 
Condition: Where the message body contains specific words
Action: Delete it from Server
 
Condition: Where the message is secure
Action: Do not download it from the Server
 
Condition: Where the message is secure
Action: Delete it from Server
 
Condition: Where the message has an attachment
Action: Do not download it from the Server
 
Condition: Where the message has an attachment
Action: Delete it from Server
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To work around this issue:
 
1. Disconnect from the Internet, and then start Outlook Express. If you are
   prompted to establish a Dial-Up Networking connection, click Cancel.
 
2. On the Tools menu, click Message Rules, and then click Mail.
 
3. Find the rule that is configured with either or both of the following
   actions, and then click to clear the check box next to it:
 
    - Do not Download it from the server
    - Delete it from Server
 4. Click OK.

This question was awarded, but never cleared due to the JSP-500 errors of that time.  It was "stuck" against userID -1 versus the intended expert whom you awarded.  This corrects the problem and the expert will now receive these points; points verified.
