PC100 SIS Motherboard

I have a PC100 mainboard with built in sis agp ver 1.0 3d accelleration, and 3d sound on board
my problem is that it simply wont work. The problem might be that i tried to run a dvd rom player in dma mode and upon boot up the hard drive started and windows tried to boot but then poof!!
Now for some reason the bios wont even fire up. the computre guy at my local small pc place nearby suggested that i clear the cmos i tried and still nothing. The hard drive spinns and the cd rom tries to run as well but
like i said, nothing! Im stumpped, anyone help !

Double check the monitor cable connection to the video port on the motherboard.  Any broken pins?  Possibly just wiggle it around and restart if no broken pins are present.  Have you since removed the DVD player?  Also try borrowing a PCI video card to see if it boots up.

Ive actually got a ati xpert 128 video card on the way ill try that when it gets here, part of the problem is tghough that the system seems unable to load the cmos. so no cards or perphs connected to the computer initialize. but i will try it when the board comes in.
board here, no dice HELP!!!
