Creating an explorer like webpage

How can I create a page where I can click on + and - to move down levels.  If you look at the www.microsoft.com they had sam samples there.  The effect I'm looking for is just like NT Explorer... where you can browse through the directories by clicking + & -. How do I do this?

Another option...

AnfyJava has a really good applet that provides exactly the same effect as the comment by siabod. I use it on my site to store favorite links. To see/use it, go to www.ourtownusa.net/~athome/ and click on "Favorites".

You can also see AnfyJava's demo at http://www.anfyteam.com/anj/treemenu/treemenu.html  Don't mean to brag, but mine runs considerably faster because its been optimized for speed.

AnfyJava's site is at www.anfyjava.com or go to http://www.anfyteam.com/panjava.html to download the applet. You can download it free and test it on your machine, but it won't run on a web server till its registered. $30, if my memory serves me right.

Oh, by the way, the one on my site has 300-400 links in it.

This question was awarded, but never cleared due to the JSP-500 errors of that time.  It was "stuck" against userID -1 versus the intended expert whom you awarded.  This corrects the problem and the expert will now receive these points; points verified.
