Word hangs when closing a document?

Word is hanging for 15 seconds after I close a document.  It is almost like there is a setting that makes it do it.  I have tried to remove word and reinstall but the same thing happens.  I also have created a new document and closed without saving.  That closes ok.   It's when I open a document change it or not then try to close.  Any help would be great

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

admoller, cryptic ? lestemb submitted the question twice, the live thread is in the other one. Perhaps you did not see it as another newbie jumped the gun with an answer there too.
