"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Right-click the "My Computer" icon and select properties.  Select the "Device Manager" tab and locate the "Display Device" icon.  Double click it and click on the device that opens up, usually the name of the card you have installed.  In the window that opens, selct the "Driver" tab and hit "Update Driver".  Select "Display a list of all drivers and select the one you want" and hit next.  From there, you can choose "Standard Adapter types".  Just select the VGA model nearest top and continue the wizard.  It may say "This driver is not for this adapter" or whatever...just ignore it if it pops up.  Go ahead and shut down the machine and on reboot, install whatever driver you choose, or keep the Standard VGA adapter.
