network upgrading

Starting from scratch, how should i
build a network which has to be able to support 10 users at first, rising to 50, who use financial and database applications, will be connected to the internet, have an external (ISP hosted) website which in time will be internally hosted and offering payable data (selling through the site), combining multiple locations where users have to be able to log-in on the network from their homes and from customers.

Important in this case is the possibility to effectively upgrade the network whenever new users, applications or servers have to be integrated.

A good solution would be Dell Computers Small Business NT Server setup (www.dell.com). You can order it with Microsoft Small Business Server to start, Giving you a good upgrade path should you expand later. The small business server package includes NT Server, SQL Server, and Backoffice server, including Internet Information server, email, etc.
