"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Set resolutions in:

/usr/X11/lib/X11/XF86Config

Set user prefs. (colour, terms, and Client) in:

$(HOME)/.xinitrc

Set the server type in: (usually X.)

$(HOME)/.xserverrc

I added in the line in XF86Config file: ModeLine "800x600" 36 800 824 896 1024  600 601 603 625 ,but it doesn't work. The window manager environment (FVWM), menu and icons are still very small in size. May I know what will be the problem? Pls advise.
