MDI child windows don't allow controls drop on them

What's up with all the documentaion about how MDI child windows are just like the parent form.  The only way I found to place controls on the MDI child is to place a picture on the MDI child and then drop controls on top of the picture control (about the only control with the align property).  This seems sort of a waste.

To place a control on a MDI form:

1) add a MDI form to your project.

2) add a regular form to your project. This will become your child...

3) add the controls you want to the regular form, then set the MDIChild Property of the regular form to TRUE.

4) set the project startup form to be the MDI form.

5) in the MDI MDIForm_Load event, do:

   regularform.show

Done!

Cheers!
