conversion of memofields to alphafields/delphi

i have to convert/copy a paradoxtable to another paradoxtable where the sourcetable has some memofields and the destinationtable only alphafields. i tried tbatchmove but the data in the memofields was lost during copying/moving. how can i do this without loosing any data. thanks for helping

You'll have to do this manually, interacting through each field.

Supposing TableA (source) has the memo fields and TableB has the alpha fields (destination).

You have to do this for each field and record, after calling TableB.Append:

TableB.fieldbyname('AlphaField1').asstring := TableA.fieldbyname('MemoField1').asstring;
