Regarding hardrives, what is the difference between IDE and EIDE drives?

EIDE has the following enhancements over IDE:
*Increased maximum drive capacity
(over 504mb)
*faster data transfer
(PIO modes, up to 16.67 mbs)
(also DMA equipped)
*secondary two-device channel
*ATAPI (ATA program interface)
