"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First of all make sure you have a boot disk and the operation system disk to install it back.  Then if you have any important files that you would like to keep, make a backup of these files. Insert  your boot disk in drive a:. On start menu go to programs, ms-dos prompt, look for your a: drive(type a:, hit enter) then type format c:, and hit enter. It is going to ask you if you are sure you want to format the hard drive, if you are sure type y for yes and enter. After your hard disk is formatted insert your operating system disk and reboot the computer. Follow the steps of the operating system window.

If you have any other question, feel free to ask me.
