TIFF specification needed

Is there an *official* description of the TIFF format downloadable ? Or anything really detailed ?

I only found a 5-page spec, which leaves some questions open (especially regarding multi-image-files, and different resolutions within one file).

BTW, if anybody knows some conversion libraries (TIFF/JPG->BMP etc) apart from ACCU$OFT, a comment would be thankfully appreciated...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think with source code you are better off. Go to ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/graphics/packages/tiff/ and download the latest C source of a TIFF package.
