AS FAR AS I KNOW WINDOWS 95 OSR2 uses DMIAPI32.DLL
to perform various DESKTOP MANAGEMENT INTERFACE
FUNCTIONS RELATED TO support for installed programs.

DMIAPI32.DLL IS LOCATED IN WIN95_05.CAB FILE IN
DIRECTORY \WIN95 ON WINDOWS 95 OSR2 CD-ROM DISK.

IF THE FILE IS CORRUPTED, EXTRACT A NEW COPY FROM
WIN95_05.CAB, AND PLACE IT IN AN EMPTY DIRECTORY.

SHUTDOWN WIN95 AND RESTART IN MS-DOS MODE, THIS WILL
TAKE YOU TO THE C:\WINDOWS>prompt.

At the C:\WINDOWS>prompt type: CD SYSTEM and press enter.

AT the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM>prompt type: DEL DMIAPI32.DLL
and press enter.

Next got to the empty directory that contains the new file:
DMIAPI32.DLL, and type: COPY DMIAPI32.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and press enter.

You will now have a new uncorrupted DMIAPI32.DLL INSTALLED.

Note on satva's answer:

You will need something called 'CAB file viewer' to extract files from CAB files - it's available from www.microsoft.com as part of the 'win95 Powertoys' download
