Hardware ID from within SQL7.0

Is there any way to get some unique hardware ID from within MSSQL 7.0 ? I know I can do it via Windows APIs from my application. But is there anything built-into SQL 7.0, some system stored procedure or table holding some ids or whatever. This is for licencing purposes,to lock/unlock software.
I do not want to wite my own Extended stored procedure to do this.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no such thing in SQL Server, however you can easily add it - either write your own OLE server which gets this unique ID via WinAPI and then call it from SQL server using sp_OA... stored procedures. Or you can write your own extended stored procedure(in VC++ 6.0 there is a wizard which helps you do that) and call the WinAPI in this extended stored procedure
