running a program made in visual basic 5.0 I get a runtime error 77 and a runtime error 53. Could someone tell me what these errors represent ?
Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

RTE 53 is file not found, meaning that you're referencing (or trying to open) a file that :
1. doesn't exist, or
2. you're point to the wrong path for the file, or
3. you have a typo in the path or file name.

I don't see a RTE 77 in the docs, are you sure it wasn't 76? (path not found?)

77 is application error or object defined error.
You can see the error string by

Msgbox Error(ErrorNum)
