run "printtool", Red Hat Print System Manager window will appear. click on Add->Local Printer->OK, Edit Local Printer windows will popup, type /dev/lp0 on Printer Device dialog, click on Input Filter and choose Canon BJ 100/200/210/240 from the list of available printer type, then click on OK. Highlight the printer you added and click on Tests to print a test page. Good luck.

Will it work with a color cartridge or do I have to put in a black/white, or will it take the color cartridge and just use black and white ink?
Colour should work, I've just managed to get my Canon to work, reinstalled Linux several time before it did. Had to also set up my computer as if it had a network card and TCP/Ip but not configured an actual card.
