"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

run "printtool", Red Hat Print System Manager window will appear. click on Add->Local Printer->OK, Edit Local Printer windows will popup, type /dev/lp0 on Printer Device dialog, click on Input Filter and choose Canon BJ 100/200/210/240 from the list of available printer type, then click on OK. Will it work with a color cartridge or do I have to put in a black/white, or will it take the color cartridge and just use black and white ink?
Colour should work, I've just managed to get my Canon to work, reinstalled Linux several time before it did. Had to also set up my computer as if it had a network card and TCP/Ip but not configured an actual card.
