Get rid of icons in menu?

Hi!

When I want to create a new folder in Windows 98 I can right click the mouse and a menu appears. Is it possible to get rid of the icons in this menu?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

mrc, try this:-
------
If you have installed TweakUI in the control panel, click into the  [New] Tab, unchecked the boxes there.

Then those programs file types will not be shown in the context menu on your right click of the explorer or desktop.

If you need to call them back, just go back and checked the boxes again.

For intallation of TweakUI, go to the original win98cdrom\Tools\reskit\powertoy\tweakui.inf , right click the file to select "install" to install the TweakUi.

let me know if it worked.        pslh
