local host domain?

Linux redhat (isbn no. 1-57595-398-0) asks for local host domain what is it and how can i get past it to install more?
My password works but i can't get past this local host domain!

simply give it a name such as "mydomain".  This is best done with linuxconf.  Your machine name becomes a prefix to this domain name (this is a tcp/ip domain name not a Windows NT domain name)  Let's say you configure your domain name to be mydomain and your machines name to be pc1.  Your fully qualified name becomes pc1.mydomain
