2 IPCHAINS setup questions

1.)  I just installed Red Hat 6.0 which has the 2.2.5 kernel, and noticed that all kernels < 2.2.13 have a fragmentation bug.  Should I download the latest kernel from Red-Hat ?? If so, where can I find it, and what Kernel would be compatible with my Red Hat 6.0 distribution?

2.) I did a minimal install, but I installed Network and Dial-up packages, yet /sbin/ipchains does not exist !!  Where does this come from.  (What package.)

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

2.2.5 will very probably work just fine for you, but you may want to compile a new kernel anyway, so it's probably worth getting the new one.

www.kernel.org will get you a new kernel. I've used 2.2.13 on redhat 6.0, with no problems.

ipchains comes in it's own rpm, called ipchains-1.3.8-3 for RedHat 6.0
