To add an Item in the Start Menu

Hello,

How to add an Item in the Start Menu?

I need to add an item(my application ) in the start menu, so that user can start my application from start menu, instead of executing through Windows Explorer.

I need to do this through Program.

Is there any API or MFC Function available for this?

Expecting your response.

Thanks in advance.

Right click with the mouse on the desktop.

2.  choose new  -->  shortcut
3.  Enter the path to the application or hit the browse button to search for it.
4.  Drag the shortcut to your start menu

DONE

You can also:
Do 1 & @
click on start-->settings-->taskbar-->advanced.
Drag the shortcut on the desktop to the folder where you want it.

Creating a folder uses the same procedure.

DONE
