Unable to Receive mail w/ Outlook 97

Each time Outlook attempts to connect and retrieve mail mail, I receive the following error message:

A message could not be delivered. Make sure there is sufficient memory and disk space and that the message store is accessible, then try again.
I enabled the log and this is the content of the log file:

I thought that there might be a rule in place that is preventing a large message from being retrieved but both the inbox assistant and the out of office assistant are greyed out on the tools menu preventing me from checking, I'm out of ideas, anyone?
