Sound Card Driver Locations

According to the hardware compatibility chart.  My Linux distribution (Redhat 5.2) does not support my sound card (yamaha -ym5724).  Is there anywhere on the web that I could seach to see if someone has written a driver for it.  Or how I can find some information on creating drivers for Linux?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Boot your system with that new kernel ... and you should be up and running :-)

Look at for the kernel and a description of how to install, configure and make the kernel.
