VB5 or 6, Win98, and winsock...

I will be developing an app that needs to dial up the internet, go to a few sites, d/l a few pages, parse and store data in a db.   I believe that the intrinsic VB controls that are at my disposal are winsock, inet... Does anyone have any simple coding examples?  Also, is there a good resource for learning how to dial up the internet using VB5 or 6 running on Win98?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is an example project using inet on the Visual Basic CD... It's located in:

     \TOOLS\UNSUPPRT\HEEPEXPL

This microsot reference shows you the command to launch dialup networking... Just use the Shell() function to run it.

Thanks Mcrider!  That works quite nicely!  I shall use it in my project.  I really like when you go to browse a site, if you are not connected, you will get the connect dialog automatically!  Thanks again.

Cheers to you!
