IP address and Hosting Websites

do i need to have a different IP address for each domain name i want to host.

There is a way to host multiple domains with one IP
address using the Apache web server using named based
virtual hosts.  It does however require that the users
browser support HTTP/1.1.  The DNS will resolve all
of the domain names to one particular IP address. The
apache web server is made to distinguish the activity
for each particular domain using the NameVirtualHost
directive in the httpd.conf file. See this link for
