Gateway screen
Hi! We have a Gateway notebook, and recently the LCD went crazy, and when it boots up the screen is all distorted and enlarged, and other odd things. And when we use another monitor, its fine, so we know its the LCD. Any help?
I had this problem also. The settings on it are all messed up. I returned it to the place I bought it. If you had this for a while, and its not under warranty, then try to tinker around with the settings. The problem might be a bad connection or loose wire.

Nothing against the proposed answer, but there wasn't enough there to help me, if you could be more specific I might give the points to ya. thanks anyway!

ddmorgan, will that affect anything else? besides having to enter in the bio settings, will it negatively affect anything else? Thanks, you might be on to something here...

Yup, in some form or another, you got it. Congrats, although I must admit we actually solved it through ordinary e-mail tech support, but they verified what you said, although a little more detailed. thats why I'm going to give the points to ddmorgan.
thanks!

If it's still under warranty, send it back. If not, it may have to become a small desktop with an external monitor.
