what mta (mail transport agen do you use ? )
if .. using sendmail you can set it in sendmail.cf
(read MAIL HOWTO and sendmail docs.)

is using qmail you can :
read about virtual domains ...

and select one from many addons ..
ex :
1. Vpopmail ..  support imap ..
good if you plan to use web based email
system like imp http://www.horde.org
2. vmmgr .. from bruce guenter ...
it's very easy . like pnp .. plug and play ..

example .. you have domain abc.com and bcd.com ...

add both of them to /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts
and /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains ..
in virtualdomains the syntaks is :

create that user ..
if using vmmgr ..
su as that user
vsetup ,
vadduser , vpasswd for your virtual user ..

restart qmail .. / vmmgr .. voila ..
your domain has set up ..
try log in as  :
user:virtual_domains ...
