SAME SAVING PROBLEMS

We're having problems saving a shared workbook to a network drive (NT).  Whenever someone tries to save the file, Excel returns an error saying it could not resolve the filename.  If we hit "Retry" it errors out again and saves as a temporary file.  Recreating the file does not help. This happens even when the owner of the file is the only one using it, so it appears not to be a file sharing problem.  Any ideas?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A right answer in less than an hour... but no reward for it.
