Dialling a number

I need the source code for vb to dial a given number. If the numer dialed is busy, it should dial the alternate number  provided.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will find the code for a simple dialer in your \VB\samples\vbterm  directory. After you dial out, the dialer (or you) reads your Comm port. If your modem sends a "BUSY" reply (this is exactly the string reply you will get) you will have to hang up i.e send ATH0 & chr(13) to the modem and wait a second or two (waiting is a must). Then you dial out your second number the same way you did before.

Good Luck with modems. You'll need it.
