For Zif (CDEvents)

Zif, I downloaded your CDEvents component, and I can't get it to install properly. There are three warning messages (error 209) saying "Unit AudioCDEvents implicity imported into package Dclusr50" and the same for the other two, CDEvents and DBTMsg. I've tried installing thost units first, that gets rid of the warnings, but it still doesn't install. I'm Using Delphi 5, with CDEvents ver. 1.2. Is there something that can be done about this?

regards,

Johan

Oops,
the q is a PAQ now
well, i'll try to describe it

Hellfire was looking for a chance to find out, in which drive
is an audio CD.
Alex then gave him a function for that
so he got a stringlist with
e.g.
g:\    // first audioCD
i:\     // second audioCD

next was

Great it works, I have one question left. I've been looking at the cdevents you suggested, and been playing with it. However one thing I just cannot get is this.

Transforming a shortstring to Char.

 I have this
 Var
 Drv : String[1];
 Begin
 Drv :=  Memo1.Lines.Strings[0]; // instead of G:\ it gives G
                      Audiocdevents1.isaudiocd(Drv);

But the Drv needs to be Char, I have been looking through the help file, but it doesn't make clear what a char is, What I figured out is that it is only one character long, But how to format a string to it????

If you can help me here too, i'll be very grateful
 Thanks
 Marc

then some tried to transform the string G:\ into a char

perhaps he did use it in a wrong way
therefor my question up above

does he need
the driveletter only
and not some "encrypted" character ?

hope i got that right and did not confuse you
