"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It would help if you posted the current beta version of win2k.

The answer maybe that your version does not have win2k direct3d as part of the beta mix. Or very limited.

Click start/ Run
type dxdiag
Look at "display"
review what features of direct X has been installed by microsoft and your video card provider.

Unwritten rule of thumb is that if the win2k driver install packages are much smaller than comparable win98/NT archives then the driver is beta and limited in what it can do because the card maker has no idea what MS will do on its next beta release.
