compaq prolinea590 setup problem

when i press f10 and go into setup i just get a please wait message and the pc hangs up
how can i overcome this and get into setup in order to add another hard drive
anyone had this problem? and could advise me what to do

Maybe you have problem with partition including software from manufacturer so you can not access to system configuration by F10.
Try to add another hard drive; if not success, call to COMPAQ.

Go to the COMPAQ website and download the diagnostic setup disks for your PC model. Should be 2 disks. And then use the setup disk to boot up. If you are able to do settings from there, you can choose to install the setup management into your local drive again.
Also, I'd advise you download their ROMPAQ to update the bios for Y2K compliance.
